The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons sponsored a clinical consensus statement “on a broad range of topics relevant to the clinical practice of foot and ankle surgeons as it relates to the hallux valgus deformity utilizing not only the best available evidence but also a degree of our clinical experience and common sense.” The authors addressed 13 statements for evaluations considerations, perioperative considerations, and postoperative considerations.
