“This 2020 NBA Orthobiologics Consensus Statement provides a concise summary of available literature and practical clinical guidelines for team physicians and players.” The authors discuss platelet-rich plasma and cell-based therapies (“stem cells”). Furthermore, they addressed safety and adverse event, management of specific pathologies (i.e., knee cartilage injury, knee osteoarthritis, myotendinous injury, patellar tendinopathy, ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciopathy), and surgical augmentation. A table lists the 13 recommendations.
