The American Society of Echocardiography in Collaboration with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance released a report “to provide clinical imaging specialists with a comprehensive guide for the performance of multimodality imaging in competitive athletes. The document covers integrated multimodality imaging (e.g., transthoracic echocardiography), exercise-induced cardiac remodeling, differentiating exercise-induced cardiac remodeling from pathology, pre-participation cardiovascular screening, the symptomatic athlete, and other considerations.
