The National Athletic Trainers’ Association released a position statement “to provide evidence-based recommendations for reducing the prevalence of head-first contact behavior in American football players with the aim of reducing the risk of head and neck injuries”. The authors offer 14 recommendations regarding education and administration, skill development and behavior modification, rules and regulations, and technology and scientific research.
