The European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, & Arthroscopy Basic Science Committee offered a consensus statement “to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest treatment options for tendinopathy”. Treatment options included platelet-rich plasma, ultrasound-guided galvanic electrolysis technique, mesenchymal stem cells, gene therapy, biomaterials, and surgical approaches.
