Several associations prepared recommendations “to define a standard of care that protects medical professionals rendering on-field and pitch-side assistance without compromising player care. In particular, the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in specific sitiations is described.” The authors provide helpful tables and figures to explain which personal protective equipment may be needed during various clinical scenarios. The document includes a discussion about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
