This manuscript offers “a review of epidemiology, risk factors, pathology/ pathophysiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis, management, prevention, medical considerations, risks of illness during exercise, effects of illness on exercise/sports performance and return- to- sport (RTS) guidelines.” The document discusses nasal obstruction (structural/anatomical), allergic rhinitis/rhinosinusitis, non-allergic rhinitis/rhinosinusitis, exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction, lower airway dysfunction, and other conditions causing non-infective acute respiratory illness.
