The Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy of the American Physical Therapy Association released revised clinical practice guidelines for lateral ankle ligament sprains. The recommendations cover the clinical course, diagnosis/classification, examination (i.e., outcome measures, physical impairment measures, and activity limitations/physical performance measures), and interventions (e.g., prevention, acute, post-acute, and chronic ankle instability).
