An inter-association working group has released “recommendations on developing a plan for the recognition and referral of collegiate student-athletes with psychological concerns.” The executive summary of the consensus statement includes background information about behaviors to monitor, circumstances that may affect a student-athlete’s mental health, mental health concerns during preparticipation physical examinations, confidentiality, etc.
